Fine foods, fine wines and classical music - three pleasures often under-appreciated in today’s fast-paced world. The Columbus Symphony Orchestra increases enthusiasm for all three at the Toast of the Town: a symphony of food and wine.

Columbus’ third annual food and wine event will be Friday, March 23, 2012, 7:00 p.m., at the RiverMill Event Centre. This exciting evening includes tastings of a variety of fine wines and foods ranging from gourmet signature dishes to decadent chocolates.

Food Tastings feature local and regional chefs as well as restaurants and artisans. Wine Toasting will feature selections from vintners from around the world including familiar favorites and others that are new to the Columbus area. NEW this year, southern hand-crafted beer offerings for those hops enthusiasts.

As the annual fundraiser for the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Toast of the Town supports guest artists, young musicians, and educational programs throughout the year. CSO educational programs for all ages include our newest initiative The Orchestra Up Close which brings CSO musicians into the schools, S’mores which provides alternative concert viewing for people with young children or have a bit more trouble traveling at night, and Know the Score, a pre-concert lecture series. And new this year, Art Attacks, in which CSO musicians perform in a random public setting for free. For more information about the CSO programs, please visit www.csoga.org.
